Using the site

Next Sentence Club is a collaborative fiction service. By using the site, you agree to these terms and the writing guidelines. You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. Keep your account secure and provide accurate sign-in information.

Your contributions

You keep ownership of original writing you submit. By submitting it, you give Next Sentence Club a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, moderate, edit for formatting, and distribute it as part of the collaborative story and promotion of that story or the service. This license continues for published contributions because later sentences depend on them.

Only submit material you have the right to share. Do not submit private information, unlawful content, targeted abuse, hate speech, explicit sexual material, graphic gore, advertising, malicious code, or content intended to disrupt the story or service.

Collaborative stories

Other writers may build on, refer to, or change the direction of the story after your sentence. You do not control later contributions, and a completed story may contain material you would not have chosen yourself. Writing allowances, reservations, cooldowns, and contribution limits may change as the community develops.

Moderation

We may automatically screen, hold, reject, hide, restore, or remove content, and may warn or suspend accounts to protect the service and its users. Automated checks can make mistakes. Where available, you may request human review. We are not required to publish or retain any submission.

Service availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, pause, or stop, and data may occasionally be lost despite reasonable safeguards. To the extent permitted by law, Next Sentence Club disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

Ending access

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or end access when an account violates these terms, threatens the service, or creates legal or safety risk. Provisions concerning published contributions, licenses, moderation records, disclaimers, and liability continue after access ends.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the site changes. The current version and effective date will be posted here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to accounts@nextsentence.club.
